MHS CONGRATULATES YEAR 10 STUDENT NATHAN ON HIS RECENT GOLFING SUCCESS

Year 10 student Nathan Murdoch has won the Junior Autumn League at Moyola Park Golf Club.  He has had a very successful year winning Player of the Year at Moyola and being selected for the Golfing Union of Ireland Under 16 Ulster Development Squad.

YEAR 14 GEOGRAPHY STUDENTS VISIT BENONE

Year 14 Students were completing their primary data collection on the impact of tourism in a sand dune ecosystem (psammosere).  They were investigating changes in plant diversity, soil and climate, and also the impact of tourism and how it is being managed at Benone.  This is an integral part of their A21 studies.

PUPILS RAISE A MASSIVE £3,200 FOR ACTION MS

 

Action MS

Action MS Walks CEO Ann Walker, visited Magherafelt High School on Tuesday for a special awards presentation to thank the pupils for their tremendous efforts on behalf of people with Multiple Sclerosis.  The pupils took part in a Walk for MS at Drum Manor Forest Park during activity week in June and raised a fantastic total of £3,200 in aid of Action MS Northern Ireland's Multiple Sclerosis Charity. 

The pupils pictured with Mrs Ann Walker are the top sponsors, the majority of whom collected over £100 each.
