YEAR 10 PUPILS ATTEND HISTORY WORKSHOP

On Thursday the 19 May Year 10 pupils from Magherafelt High School attended a History Workshop along with pupils from St. Piuxs’.

As this was the centenary year for the Battle of the Somme and the Easter Rising a workshop had been organised as part of our Shared Education Programme. Pupils were given the opportunity to use audio and digital resources to investigate these events and produce short broadcasts and comic strip accounts. Pupils from both schools worked well together in groups and they were given a basic insight into using technology for Historical investigation.
