9A4 made shortbread for Saturday’s craft fair. They did quality control too and sampled one to make sure they were just right!
The Year 11 Occupational Studies Food Preparation class visited Ditty’s Bakery. The students viewed the patisserie products which developed their creativity skills for presenting baked items. The pupils also increased their understanding of food hygiene and the skills required to work as a baker. Thank you to Ditty’s Bakery!
MindWise delivered a talk to the year 11 and 12 Health and Social Care class. MindWise is a leading mental health charity which supports those affected by severe mental illness and other mental health difficulties and promotes earlier intervention.
The A Level Health and Social Care pupils attended an information session on Occupational Therapy in the community at Mid-Ulster Hospital. The pupils developed their knowledge of the job role and responsibilities of a Community Occupational Therapist.
