The School held their Annual Prize Distribution on Thursday, 28 September to recognise and celebrate the successes of our pupils over the last year.  The guest speaker was Mr Paul Charles who is a past pupil of the school.  Paul who lives in London and has a facinating career as a music promoter and agent, supporting and representing many well known national and international stars including Van Morrison, Rory Gallagher, Don McLean and Jackson Brown among many others.

Over the last 20 years he has changed his career path and became a prolific autor, publishing books in the  genre of detective fiction and based around his characters of Inspectors Kennedy and Starrett.

Paul related his 'top 10 countdown' of the points which he considered important to a happy and successful life and inspired young and old alike with his reminisces of events that had brought him o the point where he is today.

The night was a great celebration of achievement and a reflection of a successful year, noting the very positive outcomes provided through the school's continued support of a wide range of local, national and international charities.

It was a fantastic nght in the life of the school and congratulations are extended to all who received prizes and our sincere thanks to Mr Charles for his support and in generously giving of his time to return to MHS.
