| There was plenty of talent on show at the recent Magherafelt High School open night when the school showcased what prospective students can expect if they come here. Parents were treated to performances by the Drama and Dancing clubs as well as some performances from the Music and Choir societies. | |||||||||||||||||||

There was much cause for optimism in the future too with the new school building eventually getting the nod from the minister. It was only a matter of time but students and staff can look forward to state-of-the-art facilities when the new school opens in September 2011.
