The big build up has begun for one of Ireland’s biggest, most popular road racing events. The Cookstown 100! My personal opinion is that road racing is a very interesting and exciting sport to watch. I have asked a few people in to explain their own opinions on road racing and all of who I asked agreed 100 % that road racing is an intriguing sport. There is a dangerous side to this popular sport and there are occasional fatalities each year due to crashes and collisions on the track. This is a sad reality, but everything is done to make the courses as safe as possible for riders and spectators. There are many popular road racers, among these racers are the two sons, Michael and William, of the great legend Robert Dunlop. The two sons will be out on their 125cc, 250cc, 600cc and 1000cc bikes this year. Both Michael and William will be out to make a great start to the 2010 road racing championship.
The great Ryan Farquhar will also be out in 2010 to try and keep his titles and keep his brilliant form going. I believe Ryan and his team would like to make a good start to this and Ryan will be out to win his races. Hopefully the all new 450cc Super Signals will be out and if so Ryan will be participating in the races as he has built himself one for the incoming road racing season.
Why don’t you came along and enjoy the great Cookstown 100. It’s a great day’s fun with your family and friends by your side and a good day’s road racing as all the stars battle it out to make a brilliant start to their road racing championship 2010. So come along a see if Ryan can keep up his good racing form.
