Year 8 got a real brain work and had fun at the same time in "Maths Fun" day organised by ‘Sentinus’, a non-profit making organization used to promote engagement in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

The fun day, held in the Assembly hall, had pupils working in pairs had to complete different types of mathematical activities, the main purpose of which was to show that not all pupils think alike.  Whilst some pupils found certain activities quite straight forward, there were those who found them quite easy and vice versa.  Some pupils much preferred the shape and spatial activities while others preferred the number activities.

There were two sessions over the course of the day- 8A1 and 8A4 were joined together (session 1) whilst 8A2 and 8A3 were in session 2 after break . Although an enjoyable day was had at least some year 8s will begin to look at Maths in a different light!
